Emery Clay 'O' Painting
I knew I'd find this pic sooner or later--twas on my phone. I believe Emery was about 26-28 months. Intense concentration and the color mixing of blues/greens/purples with a splotch of red thrown in, Em concentrated on creating quarter-sized and larger circles, some with smiles and eyes, and other random (carefully placed) shapes on a 12 x 18 page, 1/2 of which is framed here:
That's not my baby!
Love extremely weird things which people just don't understand. And all my blogs are jumbled. Just like everything I do. AAARRGGH. If I were brave enough I would wear my hair like Jack Sparrow. But I like the Sideshow Bob look too!
Here is that tiny little guy-not good quality considering I scanned a zerox instead of the original, which is lost in the Realms of the Art Room.
Seven Deadly Sins
Inside this little book will be collages based on the move Se7en. I have a couple done already: Greed & Lust. So go buy a baby book with heavy pages, rip images from magazines will watching TV, grab the glue and make yourself some collage art. Its easy! And if you like how it turns out, you can always spruce it up with some glitter or paint or markers later-- or let your friends add stuff.
Wow, Look at These Three!
Fall 06...Check out that popular Jack Sparrow wig I made...so far 2 of the kids are trying it out! And the one in the middle...he's 'around the world in 180 days'; I bet his face lost that tan on the sub!
Where Dead Men Lost Their Bones
I pulled together elements from four separate drawings to create this scene...
Don't ask about this night. I now despise Captain Morgan.
This guy's name actually IS 'Divine'. He let me nail him to the garage wall : )
Close up of the Unholy Architeuthis
part of a drawing taken through glass, sorry
Gasmask painting and St. Lorena of Birth Control
St. Lorena (think Bobbit) caused quite a ruckus when displayed at the Columbian Theater in Wamego. It offended a catholic from a surrounding town and he wanted it taken out of the show! SNIP SNIP. Everyone else read the title and burst out laughing!
OK, Fine. But these are the only pics I have of me.
at the park, trying to remember how to hold a baby
I finished the DRESS!
Lovely wedding: so happy together!
Wispy Whimsy Fluttery Dress Tops
I want to make an artistically beautiful dress top for Bailey, and I have many things ready to go, but I can arrange it many times on the dress dummy and still can't get the effect I want!
Same way with the poofy skirts! There are arrangements that look great....but how NOT to go overboard with detail...Can I keep it elegant and fun??!
What a Dummy!
I threw curls and silk and beaded material on Charlotte. As I said before, there are countless ways to pin and arrange fabric and today they all sucked like this one. I am afraid to use the scissors. (Pay no attention to the material in the background--it is artistic license and innovation working here! Or rather failing at the moment. I stripped Charlotte back down to her slip. Unhelpful broad.)
More Decor for Charlotte
Still not close to what I want....

Bailey in a Barn
I placed these photos together, then painted this. The painting looks very cool, dark, and creepy!
A Drawing For Tegan
The newest drawing is up. What really happened to the Hunley??
At the Seaman Relays in Topeka
Brett and Brig both got Gold here and were on the news...rainy meet--had to take shelter from storms!
Look how little the boys look! They have grown up so much. I miss those two and had so much fun with them all the time.
Another Middle School Picture
Here are both the boys in a sprint. They got tons of gold medals in high school too, making it to State several times.
North Central Kansas League Track Champs
Way to go, gentlemen! That little one is mine. These guys all ran hard and had the crowd going--great race!
