Junky Cosmonaut

Hey....anyone have good pics of a floating astronaut that could illustrate the above phrase? I've loved that song line for years and have an image in my mind--doubt that NASA would have any limp-limbed, drugged-out space floaters, but I can always hope someone does... I would love to make an awesome drawing again...

Drawing Example

Whoops, forgot to scan in Pyjama Squid, so I found an old drawing to put up-- I cropped it down 'bookmark-size' and played with it. (Over there on the right.) I know it won't show all the tiny details, but I hope you enjoy it--it's a former student who was wearing an old robe in my classroom...

Holocaust vs Prison vs Pyjama vs Pajamas!

I viewed the most incredibly darling little squid on PBS...I immediately thought of pajamas, and yes it was called a Pyjama Squid--but those sweet little black and white stripes also recall Nazi Germany and the old movie prison garb. Oh so cute! I sketched one during Inservice yesterday, based on recall. Whoops, mine is lacking the curly lashes. Next time I'll get it right! Maybe I'll post that pic soon... (later--see right))
Well, scroll down to the depths of mediocrity. He doesn't look so hot, but I'll excuse myself for using a chintzy ball-point pen instead of a nice pigma....

AAhhhh. Drawing.

After being lazy for a couple years, I finally decided to kick my own butt into gear and produce another squid drawing, which won't appear here until June '07...perhaps my motivation is that awesome massive squid that was recovered in February this year--a COLOSSAL Architeuthis, more gi-normous than Giant!-- or the fact that my son has been lurking the ocean depths in his nuclear sub for many many months....
NOW HE IS BACK! The drawing is up and I didn't add any bodies! (scroll down)
Anyway, it will be a gift for him. And this one won't be morbid. Really. "A current under sea picked his bones in whispers"--although it's a lovely line, I'm NOT going to illustrate THAT under the circumstances.
